This morning you head to visit Rageh canyon; so be ready for some trekking and hiking, Rafsanjan county has one of the amazing and beautiful natural phenomena in Iran and it’s the Rageh canyon. The valley is created by alluvial erosion caused by the guivdary river, during several thousand years. Eagle, Partridge bird and Gazelle are some of the wildlife in the area, however Rageh is near the Bidoye protected area. Then you will eat a delicious cuisine at traditional restaurant in Rafsanjan. Afterwards we will take you to Meymand village to visiting hand made rocky houses. Sightseeing of Meymand village is like you fly to fairytales. The village is a UNESCO world heritage site. A complex with 406 hand-dug residential units called “Kijeh”, so you might call the locals troglodytes.
At morning we will drive to Meymand and You head to visit the community structures include a bath, public toilet, school, restaurant, museum, store and handicrafts store. you’re going to visiting all parts by hiking the village. Meymand is believed to be a primary human residence in the Iranian plateau, dating back to 12,000 years ago. Regarding the origin of these structures two stories have been heard: The first one is “the village was built by a group of the Aryan tribe about 700,800 years b.c”. The second one is “the village dates back to the second or third century A.D”. During the Arsacid era different tribe of southern Kerman migrated in different directions. And the tribes found suitable places for living and settled in those areas by building their shelters.
